Impartiality Policy

ISA is committed to impartiality in all accreditation activities. Top management takes responsibility for this policy and reviews it at least once a year.

• ISA does not offer consultancy, management system implementation or certification services.
• Assessors and decision makers declare any conflict of interest before each assignment and are excluded where one exists.
• Accreditation decisions are made by persons who did not take part in the assessment.
• Fees and commercial matters do not influence assessment findings or decisions.
• Risks to impartiality are identified, analysed and treated, and interested parties are consulted.
• Services are available to all applicants on equal and non-discriminatory terms.

Anyone who believes this policy has not been followed can raise it through our complaints process.
